The National Service Scheme (NSS) Unit of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) actively participated in the “Sundays on Cycle – Nasha Mukt Bharat” cycling activity under the Fit India Movement and Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan on 9 August 2026.
The programme was jointly organized by the Sports Authority of India, Bhopal; Regional Directorate of NSS, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh–Chhattisgarh; NSS Unit; and Pedal Club BSSS, along with the Department of Physical Education.
The primary objective of the programme was to promote physical fitness, a healthy lifestyle, and awareness about the harmful effects of substance abuse, while spreading the message of a drug-free India among society and the youth.
The cycling rally was flagged off by the Chief Guest, Bhopal MP Shri Alok Sharma, who gave the cyclists the green signal to begin the ride. The rally commenced from The Bhopal School of Social Sciences, proceeded towards Barkatullah University, and concluded after returning to the college campus.
