Dear Parents and Students,
At the very outset, I would like to congratulate all the students, both outgoing and present batches, for their wonderful performance in the examinations and the consequent outstanding results therein.
The new academic year 2024-25 has begun, and I am pleased to announce that we successfully commenced the session on time. First-year and third-year classes started from July 1st, while second from July 8th and fourth-year classes began on July 15th. As mentioned in my previous address, we have introduced Honours Courses (as per Four Year Graduation Programme FYGP under NEP 2020)) this session onwards, and hence an infrastructural need arose for a second shift to which third-year students were identified as most suitable owing to their requirements of various preparations for future endeavours. This new time schedule is functioning well, with higher attendance compared to previous years which further substantiates our decision to go ahead with a second shift of timings for the third-year students. Also, by informing students a year in advance, we ensured they were mentally prepared for this change in college timings and plan accordingly.
It has been observed that the conventional degrees are less sought in this phase of educational transition and many of the colleges are struggling for admissions. We at BSSS still believe that the education and the degree provided at BSSS shall prepare the students well for their life ahead, making them take the world in their strides. Our admissions continue to thrive, as always, driven by our unwavering commitment to true education, which is embedded in the very DNA of BSSS. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the parents for placing their trust in us. Rest assured; we will not disappoint you.
Recent surveys conducted by prominent organizations such as India Today and Education World confirm or I should say reaffirm that we are the best Higher Educational Institution in Central India. Education World has once again ranked us as the No. 1 autonomous college in Madhya Pradesh. This achievement is a testament to our stable governance and administration, which consistently address the current educational landscape, its requirements, and its challenges.
Interestingly, Education World has given us the highest rating for our Teaching Staff, and I am proud to say that 90% of our faculty hold PhD Degree and possess long standing experience. They bring great honour and laurels to our college, serving as the backbone of our 52-year-old institution. Indeed commendable! Furthermore, with 120 regular faculty members who are well-remunerated, our commitment to maintain a strong academic team stands tall. Students, believe that you are in the right hands. Now, it is your share of hard work that shall pave way for your success, we are consistently doing our part for sure.
Once again welcome to BSSS and remember you now hold the lifetime badge of being a BSSSite – for once a BSSS-ite is always a BSSS-ite.
