Early Beginnings

The BSSS NSS Unit was established in 1992 under the NSS Cell, Barkatullah University (Bhopal), and the Department of Higher Education, Government of MP. It operates with the primary objective of fostering social responsibility, civic engagement, and community service among students, promoting their overall development through participation in various activities.

Objectives

The NSS Unit aims to:

  • Foster a sense of social responsibility and civic engagement.
  • Encourage participation in social, cultural, and environmental activities.
  • Support students' personal growth and overall development.

  1. Community Service Projects: Blood donation camps, health awareness drives, and environmental conservation programs.
  2. Disaster Relief Efforts: Active participation in supporting disaster-affected communities.
  3. 7-Day Special Camps: Camps in adopted villages under various themes.
  4. State Camps: Participation in State Leadership Camps organized by the NSS Cell, Department of Higher Education, MP.
  5. National Camps: Representation in Republic Day Camps, National Integration Camps, Adventure Camps, and Mega Camps under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports.

  1. Best NSS Volunteer Award: Recognized by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India.
  2. State-Level Awards: Best Unit and Volunteer awards from the Department of Higher Education, MP.
