National Webinar on IPR at BSSS College
The Department of Economics at BSSS College organized a National Level Webinar on Intellectual Property Rights. The basic objective of the webinar was to create awareness of Intellectual Property Rights among students, scholars, and teachers. The key speaker in the webinar was Dr. DebmitaMondal (Assistant Professor, Hidayatullah National Law University, Chhattisgarh).
Dr. Namrata conducted this webinar under the chairmanship of the Head of the Department, Dr. JyotiMathur.DrDebmita said Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) are the backbone of the country's social and economic progress. With the use of IPR, progress can be made at social, economic, and managerial levels. She said that there are 7 types of intellectual property rights in India - copyright, trademark, patent, geographical indication, plant varieties, industrial design, and semiconductor integrated circuit layout design.
At the end of the webinar, the participants asked their questions to the keynote speaker and she answered all the questions of the participants satisfactorily. Through such webinars, BSSS College wants to empower its students, scholars, and teachers to understand issues like IPR. So that students, scholars, and teachers can use it to contribute to the progress of themselves and the country.
