BSSS, Bhopal - Under the leadership of the Department of Physical Education of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) 13 young students commemorated the brave martyrs on 2 October 2022 by cycling continuously for 75 hours under the Amrit Mahotsav of the Country's Independence, while joining with Prime Minister Modi's Fit India campaign. Also made the youth aware to stay healthy.
On this occasion the newly elected mayor of Bhopal, Malti Rai was present as the chief guest. She first laid flowers on the statue of Mahatma Gandhi at the Mahatma Gandhi Marg of BSSS college and then flagged off for cycling. Appreciating the youth, she said that healthy thinking comes only in a healthy mind and it establishes new dimensions in the development of the country. This awareness campaign would surely become a motivator for many youths. Mayor Malti Rai and Surjit Singh participated in the cleanliness drive in BSSS premises and also planted saplings.
On this occasion, special guest, former Municipal Corporation President Surjit Singh Chouhan said that our strength is youth and when they represent the country by following the development plans of the country, then only we decide the destination of success.
Congratulating the Head of the Physical Education Department Dr. Vishal Singh Sengar and the team, Principal of the college, Dr. Fr. John P.J. said that such bold events develop the power of struggle in life along with positivity in the youth. When the youth learn to struggle, they themselves follow the path of truth in life and achieve the goal, accept the reality of life, which is very important in today's situation.
