As the Bhopal School of Social Sciences reached its fiftieth year of glorious journey. The institute celebrated its golden jubilee year with a full-fledged program of “Jubilee Jashn on 15th October 2022 where Mr. Nirupam Mehrotra, Chief General, NABARD, Regional Office Madhya Pradesh Presided over the celebration.
The students of BSSS unleashed their creative energy & put- up beautiful arches and banners throughout the campus to celebrate the Jashn. Jovial smiles & high spirits marked the Jashn to heights. The celebration manifested youth and enthusiasm at its best. The event started with a tribal dance representing tribal culture of Madhya Pradesh.
The welcome was addressed by Dr. Fr. John P.J. Principal, BSSS. His speech enlightened & motivated the students with words of wisdom. He also gave a brief overview of the glorious journey of BSSS over the past academic years.
The Chief Guest, Mr. Nirupam Mehrotra in his address shared his experience as a student of the college and expressed his vision to see that this educational institution prepares the student to be ‘job givers’ and not just ‘job seekers’. He also stressed that the college needed to ensure that the students not only get a degree but are instilled with values, ethics, and ethos.
Traditional Dance Graba buzzed the Campus with Navratri vibes. Traditionally in Garba dance dancers move in a circle, which symbolizes the circle of life which moves from life to death to rebirth. It brought awareness among the students about the traditional customs while enjoying the Garba dance. The whole celebration was full of enthusiasm, fun, and franticness. Vibrant outfits & props of Academia Fashion Fusion Ramp created an explicit atmosphere representing various themes of Indian states, pollution, literature, history, crypto currency etc. ‘Rhythm’ the musical band of BSSS seized the vibrant time & mesmerized the ambience with its wonderful live music performance. Pulsating ambience, flashing lights & foot taping music, set the mood in Jashn. The excitement augmented to a joyful high as performances graced the stage. The mercury began to rise, the dance floor was left open for some unbridled energy. Joy and happiness could be seen among students. The ambience of the food festival was seen in the installed stalls.
