THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE WITNESSED CELEBRATIONS, AS BSSS DEVAAHARAM COMPLETED ITS 1000 DAYS OF SERVICE, ARCHBISHOP GRACED THE MILESTONE.

The Bhopal School of Social Sciences has completed more than 1000 days of Devaaharam service, on this occasion the Archbishop of Bhopal, Dr. Sebastian Durairaj participated and graced it with his benign presence by distributing food to the needy.
Dev Ahaaram! Is a platform where hundreds of souls who are continually seeing their loved ones in the hospital beds of AIIMS benefit from the noble effort of BSSS. Every morning, food for more than 300 people is prepared in this “God’s Kitchen” and given away free of charge to the family members of patients. It’s a ray of hope for the families of hundreds of patients visiting AIIMS Hospital. Hundreds of waiting eyes know whether it is bitter cold or torrential rain, whether any tea-snack shops are open or not, BSSS Dev Aharam's car has assured its knock at the door at sharp 6 am. For the past four years, about 500 plates of poha-jalebi and tea have been prepared every day from 5:00 a.m. in the Devaaharam kitchen at BSSS. Young students and faculties of the college register their presence every day without fail. Mr. Rajesh and Mr. Manoj the cooks prepare the food in the morning. Then everyone together makes Poha-Jalebi, packs them in disposable paper packets and after praying to the Lord, puts them in the special car of Dev Aharam and leaves for AIIMS Hospital. Outside the gate of the hospital, hundreds of people are seen waiting in line for the car, their unwavering faith is hidden in their wait.
PRO, BSSS Manju Mehta said that the team distributes food to everyone with respect and humility and also sees to it that if someone is unable to walk or someone is in trouble, then they themselves go to them and become their support. On completion of 1000 days of noble work, BSSS Chairman Dr. Sebastian Durairaj, Archbishop Bhopal also became a part of this service work, and Principal Dr. Father John PJ congratulated the team for this unique effort. While distributing food to the relatives, the Archbishop said that a healthy society can be established only by serving the suffering of humanity. He also said that our youth can become an example of progress by strengthening the country only through service, sacrifice, and dedication. He lauded the young students as the strength of the college.
Principal Dr. Father John PJ said that in today's changing environment, it is very important to make the youth realize social responsibility in society, then only our youth power will be able to stand together for society in every situation. Father John expressed happiness that apart from our students and faculty, many people contribute to the service by donating money to Dev Aaharam for birthdays, anniversaries, or sharing happy moments. Principal Dr. Fr. John expressed his gratitude to the Dev Aharam team and appreciated the hard work of Prof. Ommen Varghese, Mr. Robin Raj , Prof. Ashish Jain, and Dr. Jean George.
