The Literary Society of The Bhopal School of Social Sciences (BSSS) organised its first event of the academic year 2026-27, a debate competition titled "THE MIND MATRIX: The Saga of Perspectives and Universes," on September 17, 2026. With registrations open to students across the college, the event witnessed enthusiastic participation and provided a platform for students to showcase their creativity, confidence, and critical thinking. The event was graced by Dr. Sr. Leema Jacob, Vice Principal, BSSS, and Sr. Rohini Jadhav, Management Coordinator, BSSS. The competition was judged by Mr. Zeeshan Ahmed Siddiqui, Computer Department, and Dr. Neelakshi Arora, Commerce Department. The debate, based on the motion "Does the End Justify the Means in Pursuit of the Greater Good?", comprised two rounds: "Clash of Perspectives" and "Battle of Minds." Nine teams turned up for the competition, creatively presenting popular fictional and literary characters. Students displayed great enthusiasm, arriving in character and using props and innovative presentations to enrich their performances. The Van Guards, portraying Superman, secured the first position; Ashtavakra, portraying Snape, secured the second position; and Time Variance Authority, portraying Batman, secured the third position. The winners received medals and eco-friendly handmade gifts prepared by Literary Society students, while the judges were presented with handmade gifts as a token of gratitude.
The event was conducted under the guidance of Dr. Sana Farooqui, In-charge, Literary Society, with the support of its team members Dr. Anuradha Goswami, Dr. Reeta Raj, Ms. Shilpa Jackson, Mr. Anshay Tomar, Ms. Priya Sahani, Ms. Priyanka Lalla, and Ms. Swara Joshi. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by Ms. Aarohi Sharma, President, Literary Society.
